One More Light Foundation
Heavy Metal band from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. 5-7-Zero is a group of teenagers straight from the heart of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Carter Dennis on drums is 13, Gabe Josefowicz on guitar and vocals is 16, and Cat Havrilla on bass and vocals is 19. With raw vocal power, guitar shredding, and intense drumming behind the kit, the band was born. As individuals, each member was influenced by many different artists, such as Motionless in White, Avril Lavigne, Dave Matthews Band, Issues, Slipknot, and AC/DC. Every member took inspiration from their favorite artists to create what is now known as 5-7-ZERO.
I started playing bass when I was about 10 years old. I have been singing for as long as I can remember. I’m originally from Mountain Top, Pennsylvania and am a Freshman at Wilkes University, where I am majoring in Business Management. Music is my passion in life. My biggest inspirations include Motionless in White, Avril Lavigne, Kellin Quinn, New Year’s Day, MGK, Demi Lovato, and Falling in Reverse. I love all genres of music, however my favorites include rock and metal. I love writing about the different life experiences I have had and try to make every song I create relatable to the listener. Originally, I started off being in a band with Gabe 4 years ago. 4 years later, Carter, Gabe, and I decided it was best for us all to combine our skills and form 5-7-Zero. Ever since, we have created material like no other, combining our favorite influences and our favorite techniques to make our band unique.
I’m 16 and I’m from Nanticoke, Pennsylvania. I started playing the guitar at age 8 and it’s stuck with me ever since. Music has always been a big part of my life and it’s turned into a lifestyle. I have always taken big influences from guitarist such as Slash and Angus Young. Ever since I was around the age of four I knew I wanted to stand on stage and preform in front of people. Watching my dad play guitar hero when I was younger i feel it helped me grow my love for music. I was like "hey, I wanna do that." So from the age of four to eight I was playing air guitar to acdc and watching live performances waiting for that day to come when I would play in front of people. After playing the guitar for four years I joined my first band at the age of twelve where I met Cat. It was the start of my dream coming true. Now four years later after being in a different band with Carter we formed our band 5-7-Zero. I always wanted to be in a metal band but no one seemed to interested so it was time. I always liked to write music and now I could play it in a band and we could all be as creative as we wanted to be. I’m exited to see where the future takes us and if there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s to never stop creating.
I’m 14 and I am from Mountain Top, Pennsylvania. I play the drums in 5-7-zero. I have been playing my whole life. My dad is a drummer and I have looked up to him my entire life. He is my biggest influence along with many other people. Carter Beauford from Dave Matthews band, Josh Manuel from Issues, and John Bonham from Led Zeppelin are just a few of my favorite drummers.
